We either respect the freedom of religion or we do not.

What is wrong with people? Every half century or so we are all expected to get on a certain band wagon where we hate a particular race or religion of people.

Right now it looks like we, as Americans, are expected to hate Muslims and be upset because a Mosque is being built in the vicinity where allegedly Muslim terrorists flew a plane into the world trade center causing it to crumble. It is as if we are supposed to believe that all Muslims are terrorists.

I have always had my doubts about who was really responsible for the bombing of the world trade center and I still have my doubts that a few terrorists of any religion could have orchestrated such an attack. Even so, if all of what our government and the media tells us were true it does not translate to the idea that all Muslims are terrorists.

So what is wrong with people? Why are people getting all bent out of shape because of the building of a Mosque? If this were a Catholic Church or even a Jewish place of worship would anyone say a word? Are we really engrossed in some kind of religious war? Is that what you are telling me?

If we are, then are we going to start attacking all Mosque building and rounding up Muslims as Hitler rounded up the Jews?

I am sorry if this article offends you but I feel as if I am living in some weird alternate reality because I just don’t believe people should be this stupid. Good people. Wake up. Either we respect the freedom of religion or we do not. This is America. Its all or nothing. Once you start the witch hunt, your religion could be the next one on the list.
