Trump Administration Ramps Up Attack On Anti-Trump Media.

Trump’s war on the media has just gotten real. The Justice Department secretly seized the phone and email records of New York Times reporter Ali Watkins in a leak investigation involving a former Senate staffer.  This is good news for Patriots as it shows how Jeff Sessions and the Trump administration are ramping up their battle against the shadow government and the army of propaganda journalists who routinely spread propaganda, and leak classified information.

Jim Risen and The InterceptJim Risen and The Intercept, an anti-Trump non-profit organization, is “fighting back” by asking people for donations.  He previously worked for The New York Times and before that for Los Angeles Times.

He stated in a letter to email subscribers:

“One story that apparently caught the interest of the Trump administration as part of this leak investigation concerned the Trump-Russia probe

The government wanted to know how Watkins, then a reporter for BuzzFeed, found out last year that Russian intelligence tried to recruit Carter Page, a former foreign policy adviser for the Trump campaign who is a key figure in the Trump-Russia investigation.  This leak case seems designed to dissuade aggressive reporters from continuing to dig into the Russia story. It represents a chilling message to journalists from the Trump White House and the Sessions Justice Department: If you keep reporting on Russia, we will punish you. That signals danger for democracy, transparency, and accountability.”
